Abstract
In this talk, some results from recent experimental work performed by our group will be presented, concerning the third-order nonlinear optical response of some graphene oxides and graphene fluorides. In particular, the nonlinear optical properties of single layer graphene oxide, of few layered graphene oxide and fluoro-graphene have been studied in detail under nanosecond, visible (532 nm) and infrared (1064 nm) laser excitation. The values of the nonlinear optical parameters have been determined, while additionally, the optical limiting behavior of these graphene systems has been studied and compared.
