  • Abstract
    In this talk we review the research carried out at the Universities of Essex (UK) and New Mexico (UNM) analyzing optical injection in different laser structures, including vertical-cavity surface emitting lasers and quantum dot distributed feedback lasers. Special emphasis will be given to analyzing the potentials of optically-injected semiconductor lasers for the development of compact, tunable and low cost microwave, millimeter and THz signal generators.
