Abstract
Social Web of Thing (SWoT) has become a promising research due to its importance in many applications. SWoT integrates Internet of Things (IoT) and Social Networks Sites (SNS) so that human can readily monitor and manage smart objects. One of the key components in SWoT is the gateway, which must bridge between physical devices and Internet and present physical devices to SWoT as virtual objects. This work discusses technical options and various requirements of SWoT gateway design. In particular, we present a scalable and flexible SWoT gateway architecture design that supports mobile objects, interaction between users and objects, and multimedia handling. A prototype of the SWoT gateway is also illustrated to show the feasibility of our design.
