  • Abstract
    The opportunity to transform relationships between clients and businesses with all levels of government through electronics channels (ICTs) is paramount to future economic growth and stability of any nation. To enable internal efficiency in Government, there is need to promote ICT in Governance by facilitating e-Government, which enhances transparency, efficiency, productivity and citizen engagement. Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have changed the process of governance in the world. To manage government affairs for the benefits of Nigerian citizens, governments at various levels have adopted e-government technologies in service delivery. An effective Identity Management (IdM) program is a very important vehicle inthe acceleration of e-government in sustaining Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for Economy development must not be left out. There is also a growing need to authenticate identity -access rights to systems in the e-government framework.
