Abstract :
This paper proposes a synthesis method of a circuit with a given arbitrary frequency characteristic. Any linear circuit is described with its impedance or admittance characteristic. Its equivalent circuit can be synthesized to satisfy this characteristic condition. For example, an admittance-type circuit whose current satisfies the given admittance characteristic condition for a voltage waveform is synthesized by a voltage-source inverter with a series inductor. The current is controlled for a given voltage waveform to follow the reference by the inverter system with an analog or a digital control unit. Especially this paper makes clear how to design a controller and its parameters which synthesizes a given arbitrary frequency characteristic. The proposed method is investigated for some synthesis example circuits including a variable inductor and a high capacity capacitor and it is validated for their frequency characteristics.
