Abstract
This paper proposes the design and implementation of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-based drive system for a rotor flux oriented vector-controlled induction motor drive. The system is realized by using FPGA (XC2V250) from Xilinx and its related hardware circuit. A vector oriented control structure using integer arithmetic has been developed for the voltage control of induction motors. The effectiveness is verified by experimental results and computer simulation.
