Abstract :
Nowadays, decision support system (DSS) analysts use in an increasingly frequent basis, non-homogeneous variables for solving decision making problems. This is particularly true for energy policy related local planning. It is indeed crucial for the city authorities to know how optimal their use of energy is, by collecting and analyzing multidisciplinary data sets. In this framework and for the needs of a DSS concerning smart cities, this paper presents OMIMS (Online Multidisciplinary Information Management Software), a cross-platform web based software tool, able to assess non-homogeneous variables in a smart city environment. OMIMS is based on the 2-tuple representation model of F. Herrera, enhanced with multiple visual and collaborative tools. Along with OMIMS, we provide a Pilot Appraisal in order to present its potentials for fruitful decision analysis.
