Abstract :
Aerospace platforms cannot experience the capabilities and performance of the latest fiber optic and photonic components and systems without standards. As these technologies evolve, only a small number of subject matter experts distributed throughout the world will know the intellectual property associated with them. The greatest concentration of these experts will be found within SAE International´s AS-3 Fiber Optics and Applied Photonics committee.
