  • Abstract
In this work, photonic frequency conversion with little degradation as measured through (error vector magnitude) EVM for a high modulation and highly spectrally efficient modulated signal was demonstrated. This frequency conversion technique is therefore suited for distribution systems where large amounts of information is needed at multiple receiver locations. Furthermore, the photonic techniques enable any RF to any IF conversion potentially enabling a more efficient use of the EM spectrum.
