Abstract
A way to increase the efficiency of microstrip interconnects is to decrease the wave velocity of odd mode so as to be equal to that of even mode. On this basis, the Toothed Microstrip Interconnect (TMI) is introduced, in this article. TMI is consisting of periodical end-coupled microstrip capacitors between two adjacent lines to improve the performance of the conventional interconnect. The efficiency of a fabricated TMI is verified by measurement, finally.
