Abstract :
In this paper a new method of capacious spread-spectrum digital audio watermarking, robust against some studied unintentional attacks, is proposed. By this technique, an increase in the amount of embedded information capacity in comparison with the traditional spread spectrum (TSS) is obtained. We investigate both embedding and reconstruction performances of our method in which a linear predictive coding (LPC) algorithm followed by high pass filtering are used to pre-process the watermarked signal in the receiver. Experimental results, with no attacks, show that in comparison with TSS, the new approach presents less reconstruction error probability and, still, higher watermarking capacity. Also it is shown that our watermarking scheme is more robust against some filtering attacks, but less robust against additive ones, than TSS.
