Abstract :
One of the major disadvantages of multicarrier systems is high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of transmitted signal. There are various schemes to reduce this parameter including clipping, amplification, selective mapping (SLM), partial transmit sequence (PTS) and tone reservation (TR). An impressive technique to reduce the PAPR is selective mapping. In this paper we investigate dynamic clipping and amplification methods for Interleaved OFDMA uplink systems and combine these two techniques with SLM scheme. The main idea is dynamic threshold for clipping and amplification. These thresholds are computed from input data of each user. Comparing to the conventional SLM, clipping and amplification, simulation results show that performance of complementary cumulative distribution function of proposed schemes has been improved, while they degrade bit error rate slightly.
