Abstract :
A miniaturized microstrip patch antenna loaded on a ring shape metamaterial is proposed. This antenna is designed to work at Wi-Fi band of 5.725-5.825 GHz. Miniaturization of 68% with good radiation efficiency of 72% is achieved. The unique design of metamaterial has resulted in a small overall volume of the antenna.
