Abstract
This paper reviews the problem of finding the spectrum of a point target in Passive Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) based on pulsed sources. It is assumed that the receiver is located on a moving platform, while the transmitter has no motion. The correlation between the echo and direct signal is calculated in the frequency domain, using the stationary phase concept and Method of Series Reversion (MSR). This novel approach has enabled us to develop a processing mechanism to implement the passive and pulse based SAR system. The resolution of this proposed method is also calculated and is compared against conventional processing methods.
