Abstract :
A novel hybrid automaton admitting the modeling of both conventional and modern sliding mode systems is presented. A scheme for defining hybrid-automaton executions beyond Zeno points is proposed. Conventional and Filippov-like executions of the hybrid automaton are introduced and studied.
