Abstract :
In this paper an algorithm for calculating steady state of large electrical networks that include different sources of alternative generation is presented. Wind and photovoltaic generation is presented. The algorithm proposed it is formulated in terms of nodal power injections. Each of injection´s alternative sources of generation is calculated according to its particular mathematical formulation, generally nonlinear. Algorithm MatPower public packet is modified, which uses sparse matrices, and it is computationally efficient in large electric networks. The results of two studied systems are presented.
