Abstract :
In this paper equivalent circuit models for three different kinds of frequency selective surfaces embedded in magnetic layer are investigated. Magnetic layer is supposed to be lossless, therefore the equivalent models are purely imaginary and consist of only inductance and capacitance. The inductances of circuit models of frequency selective surfaces embedded in magnetic layer are obtained and compared with the inductances of frequency selective surfaces in free space and the capacitances remain unchanged in both media. Some approximated formulas are extracted to calculate the inductance of frequency selective surfaces in magnetic layer according to their inductance in free space, permeability and thickness of layer.
