Abstract :
We propose in this paper a watermarking algorithm of an avatar´s face for securing the access into virtual worlds. The approach is based on embedding a fingerprint signature into the ordered-facet-vertex rings extracted from the avatar face. The watermark is a sequence of 128 bits representing the biometric authentication of the avatar property. This mark in embedded in the spatial domain by ordering the facet vertices and adjusting the first vertex according to the information bit. The authentication process is done after extracting, with a blind algorithm, the watermark and calculating the correlation between the original signature and the extracted one. The proposed algorithm scheme can keep a good imperceptibility and resist facing up some attacks that could appear in a virtual environment.
