Abstract
Here we review the possible application of carbon nanotubes and hybrid carbon/metal or metal-oxide nanostructures as chemiresistor for gas chemical sensors produced and analyzed at the Elettra Synchrotron facility. The endeavor of this paper is to understand the key facts emerging from these systems, that seem to demonstrate their high sensitivity to several molecular species, with the effort to catch the results in a correct manner.
