Abstract :
We analyzed the excitation property of a localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) excited with the focused electron beam. The electron beam can observe the excitation characteristic of LSPR with nanometric resolution. The gold nanorod (110 nm × 280 nm) was produced by seed mediated growth method. We measured cathodoluminescence (CL) spectrum, and obtained that two peaks were observed to 510 nm and 650 nm. We also visualaized surface plasmon modes by acquisition of CL images at spectrum peak wavelength.
