Abstract :
Neurovascular coupling (NVC) is one of the essential mechanisms in brain activities. Both cerebral blood flow (CBF) and electrocorticography (ECoG) have been serving as the most important indicators of neurovascular coupling in system level. In this study, we developed an integrated device to realize laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) and ECoG recording simultaneously in rat´s brain. Using this new integrated system, an in-vivo animal experiment was conducted when the rat was anesthetic. Based on data analysis, beta oscillations in rat´s ECoG demonstrated an interesting synchronization with blood flow of major artery in the same hemisphere.
