Abstract :
In mobile communication, frequency is an important resource for wireless communication. As frequency is limited, it is managed by the country and is distributed according to use. As a result, the frequency used for mobile communication is different is each country. In order to make a terminal that is usable in many countries, the terminal must be able to receive several frequency bands. This paper researches long term evolution (LTE) bands that have a target frequency range between 699~960MHz, which covers LTE bands 5,6,8,12,13,14,17,18,19,20,26 and 28. We use an inverted F antenna and, in order to cover the target frequency range, a tunable matching network. The simulation was conducted by SEMCAD X with a network analyzer used for measuring, and passive tests were conducted in an anechoic chamber. VSWR and efficiency was used as parameters to evaluate antenna performance. The 699~960MHz frequency range is divided into five parts for simulation and measurement. It was divided into 699~746MHz, 703~803MHz, 791~862MHz, 814~894MHz, 880~960 MHz ranges. In every frequency band but the 703~803MHz bands, VSWR 3:1 satisfied and antenna efficiency was over 40%.
