Abstract :
This paper proposes a personalized home energy management system (PHEMS) which manages the electric power consumption of household appliances by using a user´s mobile device. The PHEMS utilizes a user´s mobile device as a lightweight server, and provides personalized energy management services via a mobile application. Moreover, to manage the appliances´ energy consumption, this paper designed and implemented a smart power manager (SPM) which is a form of a smart multi-tap and can be compatible with modern mobile devices.
