Abstract :
In this paper we introduce a new MAC protocol (Improved TMAC) which inherits the features of TMAC protocol (Timeout MAC) and makes it more energy-efficient by adding a new feature to it called POWER SAVER MODE in which TA is reduced by 10% when remaining energy of the sensor node falls below certain threshold value (i.e 15% of its node´s initial energy) and when no activity is taking place.
