  • Abstract
    A two-dimensional heat conduction problem is considered for image compression. The introduced heat conduction system does not convect with outer space in a square area, and the original image is treated as the initial temperature distribution. We design a stable numerical method to solve the inverse heat conduction problem for the image decompression. Numerical experiments are done for both image compression and decompression.
