Abstract :
An adaptive real-time smooth filter for 3D motion (ArtFilter) is presented. The filter divides the 3D motion into a translation motion and an orientation motion and smoothes them separately by removing small abrupt motion jitters. Our contributions lie in two aspects. (1) The filter adaptively controls the smooth factor according to the 3D motion vibration degree. (2) The filter smoothes 3D motions in a real-time manner, without any time delay. Experimental results have shown good performance of our method.
