Abstract :
An efficient algorithm described in this brief is proposed for designing two-dimensional (2D) linear-phase finite impulse response (FIR) digital filters. This algorithm is inspired by the methods described in [11], [14]. The proposed algorithm handles the problem on L1-L2 formula directly and does not recast the problem to Quadratic Programming (QP) shown in [11]. Moreover, the choice of trade-off parameter arises in L1-L2 is studied in this paper. Two examples are presented to illustrate our new algorithm.
