  • Abstract
This poster describes a field study that was undertaken in spring 2014 at the US National Archives as part of the MLS in Curation and Management of Digital Assets program at the University of Maryland´s College of Information Studies. The primary focus of the field study was the augmentation of open-source software for the batch loading of image files and metadata into the repository associated with Wikipedia, specifically to improve the handling of multi-page documents. A secondary focus was the importation into Wikidata of existing, freely available authority records, records that can facilitate the disambiguation of organizational names and the automatic linking of Wikipedia articles.
