  • Abstract
    Conventional protection and automatic safety devices usually are independent of each other, each device is based on the local information of substation for judgment, not fully reflecting the whole operation information of the regional power grid, among different relay protection and automatic safety control devices. It is difficult to optimize the cooperation and coordinated control, and in special operation situation, it is difficult to meet the needs of the safe, stable and reliable power supply of power grid. In this paper, we put forward a kind of protection and control technology based on area information which uses area protection and control communication network and is based on the sharing of multi-point information of regional power grids to implement the redundancy configuration and performance optimization of protection, it is suitable for key technologies such as the area ATS (automatic transform system) of different connection and operation modes and the fast load balancing control based on regional power grid information, improving the safe and stable operation level of the power system. The technology has been used successfully in Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau LiCheng 110 kV power grid.
