Abstract :
Currently, the design of tailor welded blank (TWB) is receiving more attention owing to the extensive use of TWB. One of the most promising methods is the topology optimization design. Generally, a thickness distribution contour is obtained after optimization, and then the piece shape is determined by manual. The process is cumbersome. Therefore, An approach based on topology optimization and image segmentation is proposed in this paper, which improves GAC model and provide the process of automatic segment TWB. At last, an example using the approach is provided, and the results show that the method is practicable.
