Abstract :
The possibilities of lasing at eye-safe wave length of 1.54 μm have been studied for longitudinally diode pumped passively q-switched laser based on KGd(WO4)2:Nd3+ emitting at 4F3/2--4I13/2 transition of Nd3+ ion followed by Raman self-conversion for miniature and chip cavity configuration.
