Abstract :
Engineers, control room operators and maintenance personnel in chemical processes are frequently challenged by the number of interdependencies in large-scale facilities. Being able to be aware of such dependencies is often an important goal when troubleshooting. In this paper, a tool is introduced which can be used to capture, integrate and visualise process connectivity. This tool extracts data from disparate sources used by several discipline experts and provides a detailed overview of the connectivity paths and causality between different units. The prototypes are shown here in this WiP paper.
