Abstract
In this paper, a design technique for a planar microwave filter using stepped impedance is presented through CST studio software. Through the design and analysis of stepped impedance microstrip low pass filter at the cut-off frequency 2.2 GHz which gives insertion loss of -3 dB at cut-off point. Also the comparison of the model is done with the designing of the 2 pair of SRR structures on it, which results in sharp roll-off rate. The SRR structures close to the conductor strip enhances magnetic coupling.
