Abstract :
We propose a non-photorealistic rendering method for generating striped color images which are overlaid striped patterns in color photographs. Our method generates striped color images by an iterative process using inverse line convergence index filter (ILCIF). The effectiveness of our method is investigated experimentally. Variations in the striped color image generated from the Lena image are obtained by varying the ILCIF parameters, and striped color images are also generated from several other photographic images to assess their visual effects. As a result of the experiments, we reveal a change in the shape and space of striped patterns which is generated by varying the ILCIF parameters, and show that our proposed method generates striped patterns in the entire image.
