Abstract :
An UWB antenna with W-slot on the radiating patch is presented in the paper. The presented antenna is simulated and designed in CST Microwave Studio and its simulated results shows that the antenna gives good impedance bandwidth from 3.30 GHz to 19.03 GHz. In the designed antenna there is two L-shaped slot and one W-slot on the radiating patch and also a boat shaped structure on the ground plane. The designed antenna covers the UWB range (3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz) with a VSWR less than 2 and return loss less than -10 and with two band notched freq one at 5.5 GHz and second on 7 GHz. The designed antenna is of small size 12×15 mm2.
