Abstract :
A novel all-silicon optical platform (ASOP) is demonstrated, enabling low-loss propagation in wavelengths of 1.2-8.5 μm. The robust platform offers enhanced CMOS compatibility for electronic-photonic integration in the broadest possible transparency range of silicon.
