Abstract :
This paper presents the numerical analysis of compact, efficient, switched capacitor (i.e., magnetic-less) DC-DC converter which can be operated as a boost regulator with the effect of variable duty cycle, having efficiency ranging from 78% to 89%. The simulated results show that the converter output voltage is two times of its input voltage approximately, which can be varied with change in duty cycle as per user´s requirement. Use of reduced number of switching devices is the major advantage of proposed topology. Magnetic-less feature of converter provides the prospective of high temperature operation for the devices with high attainable efficiency.
