Abstract :
A blind feedforward timing estimator using 2 samples/symbol that is modulation format transparent is modified for PDM signals. When used for interpolator control, sampling frequency offsets up to 5000 ppm are corrected experimentally for PDM-QPSK, -16QAM and -64QAM.
