Abstract :
Drive cycle analysis is a common approach to estimate vehicle energy consumption, but obtaining reliable data from vehicles is often difficult due to denied access to the vehicle CAN-Bus. Within this paper output data of several independent sensor systems are obtained on a test vehicle and compared with the original CAN data. Simulations are then carried out and evaluated. The best accuracy is achieved by a Concurrent GNSS using the signals of GPS and GLONASS satellites. The aim of this paper is to support researchers selecting an appropriate system to produce sufficient drive cycle data for energy consumption calculations.
