Abstract :
Losses in a thin solid conducting element can be reduced significantly by the use of a composite conducting medium consisting of stacked layers of thin laminated conductors, where the laminations are constituted by low loss dielectric of thickness comparable to the skin depth of the conductor. In this paper the application of this concept to a printed meander line antenna is presented. It is seen through simulations that using the proposed technique around 40% improvement in efficiency was obtained.
