Abstract :
A high gain antipodal Fermi tapered slot antenna with sine corrugation is loaded with a dielectric for potential use in high data-rate wireless applications. The proposed antenna achieved a gain of 20 dB over the unlicensed millimeter-wave ISM-band, from 57 to 64 GHz. For the frequency range of 50-70 GHz, the total efficiency is around 93% and the simulated |S11| is less than -18 dB. To reduce costs and to simplify fabrication, the elliptical-shaped loaded dielectric and the proposed antenna are integrated in a single layer substrate.
