  • Abstract
    A low-profile multiband monopole antenna is proposed for universal serial bus (USB) dongle applications. The antenna consists of two folded radiating elements and occupies a compact size of 40 × 15 × 0.76 mm3. The 2:1 VSWR band widths of the proposed antenna cover the (2.4/5.8) GHz WLAN and (3.5 GHz) WiMAX band. Details of the proposed antenna including reflection coefficient, surface current, radiation pattern and gain are presented.
