Abstract :
Micro-systems have been attracted a lot of attention and some of them have been in commercial stage. The demodulation technique is of great importance in signal detection of the micro-gyroscope. The practical implementation of the product-type synchronous demodulation circuit is presented in this study. With its online programming capability and low-cost advantage, a phase discrimination circuit based on the field programmable analog array is implemented. Practical tests are done to evaluate operation performance of the FPAA implemented circuits. The experimental results show that the key to achieving high-precision phase discrimination circuit is the filtering accuracy of the low-pass filter. Meanwhile, it can be concluded that higher operation performance can be achieved on the FPAA implemented phase discriminator circuit than that with an external low-pass filter by playing the highly integrated advantage of the FPAA.
