Abstract :
The Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) opens new application fields due to its energy-efficiency, low-cost-potential and superior performance. Covering wavebands from 850nm to 1.55μm, VCSELs have applications ranging from access networks to terabit interconnects.
