Abstract :
Single carrier 400G signal generation and detection is achieved using 100GbE-grade modulator and photo-detectors with novel 4-PAM to 16-QAM signal emulation. Eight DP-16QAM channels are transmitted using EDFA-only amplification over 2,424-km, achieving 5.33-b/s/Hz spectral efficiency.
