Abstract :
We demonstrate distributed strain/temperature sensing with a high spatial resolution in plastic optical fibers (POFs) based on Brillouin optical correlation-domain reflectometry. A 10-cm-long heated POF section is successfully detected with a high signal-to-noise ratio.
