Abstract :
A simple feed-forward gain clamped current injection technique for pattern effect suppression in semiconductor optical amplifier is applied for on-off-keyed or quadrature-amplitude-modulated signal amplification. The performance is evaluated for 10.0 Gsps systems by numerical simulation.
