Abstract :
Plasmonic switches feature ultra-compact size, low electrical power consumption and come in many shades. In this paper we review and compare two plasmonic switching approaches. On the one hand recently discovered somehow slower, but latching plasmonic switches and on the other hand ultrafast plasmonic devices.
