Abstract :
This paper investigates a new analog memristor application to nanopore-based DNA sequencing systems, where the memristors´ property of dynamic resistance is utilized to effectively amplify the DNA translocation induced block-to-open ratio of the pore resistance to sense. For a demonstrative case with memristors´ off-to-on resistance ratio of 100 and nanopore´s block-to-open channel resistance ratio of 10, this paper shows that the utilization of a memristor as the feedback resistor of a transimpedance amplifier can boost the sensing window by additional ratio of 10.
