Abstract :
For wideband digital array radar, adaptive beamforming always is a complex problem especially when existing wideband interference. In this paper, a wideband adaptive beamforming algorithm based on subband decomposition and subarray divided is proposed. Firstly, the wideband array is divided into a series of subarrays in order to reduce system complexity, phase shifter is used in every element of a subarray to form subarray receiving signal and then subband decomposition processing is performed in each subarray signal. Secondly, narrowband adaptive beamforming is used in each subband to suppress interference. Finally, we synthesize all the subband signals with synthesis filter banks to restore wideband signal. The simulation results of the proposed algorithm are presented and the performances are investigated and analyzed.
